## SUMMER MATH WORK

**During the summer it is important to keep your Math Muscle in shape. Each middle school student is expected to complete 4 hours of IXL. This will be recorded when school starts up in the fall. The date parameters are: June 25th - August 30th. The web address is www.IXL.com, your user name and password were sent home with your report card. This will be your first math grade in September.**

Please stick to the following topics for your grade level or if you need more of a challenge go to the same topic in the next grade level.

**6th Grade IXL**

Go to 5th Grade Math.

Work on the following sections. These are all topics that were covered in 4th and 5th grade.

- Place Values and Number Sense (Section A)
- Exponents (Section E)
- Number Theory (Section F)
- Decimals (Sections G - J all operations)
- Fractions (Sections K - N all operations)
- Mixed Operations (Section O)
- Problem Solving (Section P)

**7th Grade IXL**

Go to 6th grade Math. I would like you to review the following topics:

- Exponents and Square Roots (Section D)
- Number Theory (Section E)
- Decimals (Sections F - H)
- Fractions (Sections I - L)
- Integers (Sections M - N)
- Mixed Operations (Section O) you can do this if you find the decimals and fractions section, too easy.
- Expressions and Properties (Section Y)
- One Variable Equations (Section Z)

**8th Grade IXL**

Go to 7th grade Math. I would like you to review the following topics:

- Number Theory (Sections A)
- Operations with Integers (Section C)
- Fractions (Section F - G)
- Exponents and Square Roots (Section I)
- Ratios Rates and Proportions (Section J)
- Problem Solving and Estimation (Section N)
- One Variable Equations (Section S)
- Two Variable Equations (Section U)
